DAUGHTER OF NANCY GREENWOOD WILLIAMS AND WILLIAM P. WILLIAMS. MOTHER TO BILLY AMOS ROBERT AMOS, AND GRACE B. DAVIS.
Agnes was a hard-working and fun-loving person.
She helped support her family by working in Hall's
Pottery in the East Liverpool, Ohio area.
Agnes had 2 sons and one daughter. Her eldest son died at age 7, at home, from Parkinsons.
Her younger son was very close to her and when he was injured, in
War (WWII), she paced through the yard all night long.
She learned that he was either injured or killed before
a communication blackout was enforced.
He had suffered a broken back and was in an English Hospital. She did not know this until he arrived home.
Her daughter was Grace Amos-Davis. Grace recounted how
Agnes would love Halloween Parties, Christmas Parties, and
any kind of good clean fun. Agnes's husband, Bill, was more serious-minded and did not approve of parties.
Bill got off the street car and while walking to his home..
he passed 2 ladies dressed up for a Halloween Party.
One lady even tipped her at hat him! (it was Agnes & a friend going to a church party) She was just sneaking out,
past her beloved husband & did not suspect a thing!
She was a happy person despite a life long health
problem from surviving Scarlet Fever which took her sister's life.
Agnes died at age 56
I am home in heaven dear ones,
oh so happy and so bright.
There is perfect joy and beauty,
in this everlasting light.
All the pain and grief is over,
every restless yearning past.
I am now at peace forever,
safely home in heaven at last.
Dear ones, do not grieve so sorely,
for I love you dearly still.
Try to look beyond earth's shadow,
pray to trust our father's will.
There is work still waiting for you,
so you must not idly stand.
When the work is all completed,
He will gently call you home.
Oh, the rapture of that meeting!
Oh, the joy to see you come!
